Texas Antique Shows April 2014

    

There are so many shows in this month, most are in Round Top and Warrenton. There are tent sales, shows inside and ton's outside. If you are a dealer that can weather the storms and the crowds, this is the place for you. If you can last for two to four weeks, selling and haggling with the crowds, blog parties in the rain, missing items... good for you. I was actually offered to go in and share a space with friends, however I think I will keep the friendship alive and well and say "NO". (but thanks).

These are just a few... You can Google "HWY Miles Long Sales" and find those sales that go for miles and miles. The Canton Sale is going to be amazing, April 5th-9th, a lot of the Dealers will be in Round Top and Warrenton, this leaves the garage sale Dealers and Several great Antique Dealers that stayed behind to weather the Mass Crowds. I was told that this is the place to be at times like this (better deals, first picking because the "regular Dealers" have not picked the fields yet. They are all in Round Top and Warrenton. I decided to go and I will keep you informed via Facebook.

Rusty Chippy Show was HUGE!

OMG, we had the best show ever! True it was only the second year for this amazing Antique & Repurpose Show. However, with over 2000 customers, no... make that Shoppers! The dealers wanted me to do it twice a year, or at least put on a Vintage Christmas Market. I thought about the Vintage Christmas Market... I did try to find a Venue but no way, everything was boked. Back to this years Spring Show, it really was a wonderful show. We had Dealers from Michigan to California and all over Texas, coming to set up their wares and finds and repurposed items. The show was about half Antiques and half Repurposed items. All most every Dealer signed up again for next years show. There were some amazing Dealers that almost sold everything in their booths, several brought more truck and trailer loads in on the second day. I was one of them and I sold almost all of that stuff. I have already been busy buying up stuff for the next Rusty, Chippy, Vintage & Hippy Show.

We are now working every spare minute to get this great Estate Sale Finished and Held by April !2th & 13th, 2014. It will be posted on the website: www.estatesales.net

I may have to bring some of the items to the Montgomery Antique Show in Montgomery Texas, the first weekend in May. Come and see us!

February Antique and Junk Shows in Texas 2014

There is a lot going on in February, all across Texas. Canton is always the weekend prior to the First Monday of each month. The Urban Market in Houston is Feb. 8-9, it is full of great designers and tons of great buys. Feb. 8-9 is the Austin City Wide Garage Sale, it will be full of Antiques and Collectibles, junk, repurposed items and industrial. Fredericksburg Trade Days is Feb. 14-16, always a great blend of finds for any budget. Feb. 14-16 is also the Houston Glass Show in Rosenberg, there is a Building full of Amazing Glass and the building next door is full of Antiques! The Antique Elegance Show in Richardson Texas is having their 40th Show Feb. 15 & 16, 2014. Boerne is the place to be on Feb. 22-23, the Hill Country Optimist Club is hosting the best show for great antiques!

January Texas Antique Shows 2014

January Antique Shows are Out There!!! If you have any trouble finding an outing in January, it is your own fault. Theresa Cano had listed a lot, I have heard of even more. The Brenham Show is in a new Location, the Fair Grounds, on the north east side of the loop. The Heritage Show in New Braunfels, was a great show last year, so many great dealers with amazing antiques and some funky junk too. The Dallas Vintage Market is all white, shabby this and vintage that, an absolutely beautiful and elegant show. The Fredericksburg trade days are full of everything and there are deals to be found. The Bryan Show (Continental) is full of fine antiques and some sewing stuff, boots and coins, sterling, furniture and more. The Red Barn is having their Winter Sale, we always seem to buy things there. There is a new Show on the Horizion, The Lone Star Gallery Winter Show, Hollis Hooten will be there with friends. If you are going to the Red Barn, you might as well go the distance and hit the Lone Star Gallery Winter Show, it is located in the Sterling McCall Museum in Warrenton. The Tyler Antique Show is a wonderful elegant show. The City Wide Garage Sale is really worth the trip, for those of you whom have not been, it is not really a garage sale. City Wide is full of Antique Dealers, Junkers, Vintage, Industrial and Repurposed items. The Early Shopping cost Ten Dollars and is well worth it! Canton is Canton... you well find anything from a cat to a 10k dollar piece of furniture. There is the Big Blue building in the back, best for Antiques and nicer items, the area in the fields aroung the blue building, best for great deals and junk. Round Top, Warrenton Texas Shows for miles!

WoW!, We went to Round Top and Warrenton for a few weeks in a row. Three weeks ago, there were vendors already set up and we bought a nice size load of goodies. We had our September 2014 Huntsville Antique Show the following weekend, where several dealers went to Round Top and Warrenton, just to buy some items for their booth at our show. They were also buying for their stores, they unloaded some of it in our show. People seemed to buy everything we bought the previous weekend in "The Fields". This seems to be a great place to buy and resale. We found that a lot of the dealers in the a/c buildings, were out early buying from the fields. I love shopping in La Bahia, it is the first stop on the way south from HWY 290. Then we love to hit the Antique Rose, there are some really different styles there. From Shabby Chic to Rusty and Junky, it all seems to blend. Hand made jewelry and even candles. Then off to the Fields and ending at Coles, in the a/c at last. The best of the best seems to be in Coles. You may pay a little bit more, but you do not have to get all hot and sweaty out there digging for it. I really enjoy shopping in the wonderful Huge building that makes up Coles. Then we are off to the Hot, if not Rainy Fields again, hoping to find the special goody of the day. September is right around the corner... The Huntsville Antique Show is Advertising like crazy!

We started just a simple ten years ago, with a partner and a prayer. To think that this is our 10th Anniversary Show in Huntsville Texas. WOW, that is crazy. We have been hosting the Huntsville Antique Show for 10 years... It is hard to believe that there are Dealers from all across the country, just buying up stuff to bring to Texas for an Antique Show. They are really heading to Round Top and Warrenton right after our show, for the huge Round Top Show. We decided to do our show right before the fall show in Round Top and Warrenton for one purpose and one purpose only. First Pick! Our customers will be getting first pick from all of these wonderful dealers! They can pick right here in Huntsville Texas from a large part of the dealers that come across the country to set up in November. It was a huge hit! We have enjoyed the Walker County Fair Grounds, with the air conditioned building and wonderful full kitchen. We provide wide aisles and a huge variety of quality antiques and collectibles for any shopper. From Sterling Silver, Daum Crystal, Fine Furniture, Elegant Glassware, Fine Porcelain and Figurines, Royal Copley, Vintage Boots, Antique Kitchen Items, and Vintage and Antique Toys. Linens, Jewelry (Costume, Fine and Estate), Antique Tools and Hard to Find & Unique items. You will find it all at the Huntsville Antique Show, the third weekend in September. There is a $5.00 admission that is good for both days, book your Hotels soon, they go fast. There is so much to do in Huntsville, Check out BIG SAM, visit the Gravesite of General Sam Houston, check out one or all of the antique Stores and Visit the Wynne Home. Anywhere you go in Huntsville, there is a map to lead you to another hot destination in town.



 We are on the map now, we are doing two shows a year. Of course the Spring Show is in March, right before the Spring Shows in Round Top and Warrenton, smart right? OMG! Yes, with some of the coolest Shabby Chic and Repurposed Dealers. The Spring Show is an entirely different show from the Fall Show. The Fall Show is an amazing Antique Show, with all of the Quality Antique one would hope to see at a finer show. The Spring Show is not what you may expect. there are a lot of antiques, painted furniture, doors, windows, shabby chic, vintage items galore and even some plants and garden items. From old fencing, yard gliders and old chairs, wreaths from old bed springs, iron tables and an old wheel barrow. If you add in all of the repurposed items from a variety of dealers, you can almost get the picture. From French Cottage to Inspiring designs, you will see it all in March.

The Rusty Chippy Vintage Hippy & Garden Show was a huge hit! We are doing it again next spring, so start thinking of what you really want for the flower bed, or along the fence. What kind of gate or fence do you  want to use for the Garden? Who is going to be swinging in that cute little swing tied to the tree branch, or on the front porch? Do you want the latest in repurposed bird feeders or patio tables? ViNtAgE Clothes and Shabby Chic is where it's at. From Antiques, Jewelry and all kinds of Doors and Windows and all kinds of decorating ideas.
This year at our booth, popular items were Rusty Wreaths, Plow Blades repurposed into wall planter sconces and literally anything rusty that had seen better days. The more the chips, the faster it went.
Our Turquoise and Silver Jewelry Dealer had the Best show ever! Paper and Lace, one of our Favorite booths, had some amazing canvas bags that they had repurposed and tea stained with frills and hardware! We are still getting calls from customers for their information. Theresa Cano had an Amazingly decorated booth, Sunday she had to redo and refill! Relek was there with a really cool look! They are huge on Etsy, find them Relek@etsy.com tell them we sent you. We had some great vintage and shabby pieces from Debbie Toney and she almost sold out! We had to bring two more truck loads in Sunday morning, just to make the booth presentable. (we sold so much on Saturday).
The dealers are so excited that we are doing it again next March 15th & 16th 2014.

Antique & Vintage Shows in Texas 2013

The hottest thing in Shows seems to be a conglomeration of events, all tied into one. The "Rusty Chippy, Vintage, Hippy, Antique, Re purpose & Garden Show" is a mouth full, usually referred to as the "Rusty Chippy Show". This show is a new show, very innovative and clever! With a blending of all kinds of Dealers, from Shabby Chic Dealers, Antique Dealers, Vintage items, 60's & 70's, Re purposed items and Plant dealers. The Spring is the best time for such a show, with everyone looking to spruce up the house and yard, especially after being cooped up in the house and work. The days are getting longer, the Easter Holiday is approaching and the Pinterest inspired times are here!
We have traveled all over Texas promoting the new show and surprisingly to me, there has been a huge response. They have already heard of the show and are so excited to either come and shop or be a vendor. I truly believe this is going to be a record crowd for a first year show. We truly appreciate the excitement and it makes me anxious to get the doors open! March can not come fast enough for me! Thanks!

Rusty Chippy Vintage Hippy & Garden Show

Huntsville Show is This Weekend

Hello friends! I just wanted to send out one last reminder that the Huntsville Antique Show is this weekend in Huntsville Texas.

The show starts Saturday at 10am and runs through Sunday. You don't have to wait for the Warrenton/Round Top shows to start finding great and unique items. Come on out this weekend to do some shopping.

Antique Show starts Sept. 15

The upcoming Huntsville Antique Show is just around the corner and starts on September 15 at 10:00 am. The show will run both Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16.  This marks our ninth show to be held at The Walker County Fair Grounds off Highway 30 West in Huntsville Texas. If you need directions, please visit our HOME PAGE for this and more information.

This annual event draws 100-plus vendors from the surrounding areas emphasizing antiques and collectibles.  Many of the vendors have been searching for the best antiques to show just at this show all year.  We always have such a wide variety of items you can find here from all kinds of antiques and Furniture, fine Estate & Costume Jewelry, Gold, Daum, Coins, Glassware, Vintage Boots, Turquoise, Roseville, Weller, Linens, Transferware, Stoneware, Fostoria, Guns, Royal Daulton, Sterling of all kinds, Tartan Ware,  Baccarat, Lalique, Lladro, Kitchen Collectibles, Books, Postcards, Primitives, Art, something for everyone, you never know what you might find here.
