Ruff Stuff Sandpaper Holder Store Display
Ruff Stuff... the Sandpaper that Satisfies! This is one of our latest finds, in Huntsville, at a wonderful Estate Sale. It is in really good condition and we will be taking it, along with many other goodies to the Bryan Antique Show in July. What an impressive display this would have made in a circa 1920s-1940s general store or hardware store! This extremely functional tin litho advertising piece was issued by Wausau Abrasives, Wausau, Wisconsin to promote their "Ruff-Stuff" Sandpaper. The company used the images of Native American Indians to promote their product. At the top portion of the display, a Native American stands on a mountainside, presumably looking over the Wausau valley. On the lower portion of the display t is a medallion with the bust of a Native American and the words "At It Since 1898." Note that the top portion of the display folds down for easy storage and shipping. The display measures 13-3/4" front to back x 12" wide x 23" high.
